U.S. Commercial Service – Indiana – The USCS is the nation’s main export promotion agency. U.S. Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS): The FAS, within the U.S. Department of Agriculture, is responsibe for negotiating international trade agreements, the collecting agricultural trade statistics, and the administering USDA’s export credit guarantee and food aid programs for developing nations. It also funds Food Export USA – Midwest – a not-for-profit agency created to assist US agricultural exporters with foreign market information, trade show assistance grants, foreign-buyers’ programs and trade missions.
Other Federal Agencies: Several other federal departments and agencies offer export assistance, export finance programs, or regulate the export process. It is useful to have a working knowledge of their programs, as they may impact or assist your export venture. To learn more click here.
