Ports of Indiana was established in 1961 as a self-funded, quasi-governmental enterprise dedicated to growing Indiana’s economy by providing a modern port system that promotes agricultural, commercial, and industrial development.

Ports of Indiana is a statewide port authority operating two ports on the Ohio River and one on Lake Michigan that generate an annual impact of over $8.7 billion. The Ports of Indiana owns over 2,800 acres of multimodal industrial park acreage, three short line railroads, and manages a statewide network of foreign-trade zones. Indiana employs over 24,000 of the over 543,000 Americans that directly work in an FTZ environment and shipped or manufactured nearly $964 billion in materials or merchandise. Mr. Ebbing administrates the federal FTZ program that helps Indiana-based businesses remain competitive in a changing global marketplace.
